The acting chief Medical officer Dr Ronan Glynn has said that the reopening of schools and non Covid-19 medical services remains the top priority.
Speaking on Monday, Dr Glynn said that these viral services must get back up and running as soon as possible and every effort is being to make sure this happens.
Dr Glynn’s comments come as there has been growing concern with the number of cases in people under the age of 45.
The acting Chief Medical Officer said that no one is immune to the virus and NPHET are advising further communication with younger people over the dangers of the virus.
