Aer Lingus seeks to shed up to 900 jobs amidst uncertain future for the travel industry




Aer Lingus is reportedly seeking up to 900 redundancies, amidst an uncertain future for the entire travel industry, according to the Irish Mirror.

The news comes shortly after British Airways announced that up to 12,000 staff might lose their jobs.  In a grim day for the airline industry in Ireland, Ryanair today announced that it might look for up to 3,000 redundancies in the near future.

Aer Lingus employs around 4,500 people in Ireland.
