An African businessman wanted by Interpol on suspicion of murders in a love triangle in Zimbabwe has been deported from Ireland to Mozambique, reports The Mirror.

Fugitive Peter Dube (37), who entered the country under the alias Xolile Mtsali, was arrested by police in June after hiding from authorities for more than two years.

Car dealer Dube allegedly shot dead his second wife, her suspected lover and friend on April 23, 2021, in Gwaru, Zimbabwe.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police managed to obtain a provisional international arrest warrant, but Dube was subsequently extradited to Mozambique.

Dube is wanted on three counts: murder, one count of attempted murder and one count of immigration violation, reports The Mirror.

He fled Zimbabwe for South Africa before moving to Ireland. When he was arrested by police on June 14 this year, he was in a lunatic asylum in west Dublin.

A source said: “It seems he enjoyed the benefit of the doubt. By the time documentation arrived from Zimbabwe he had already been deported to Mozambique,” reports The Mirror.
