Ireland’s fleeting Spring came and went in the blink of a day, with temperatures reaching 17C in places yesterday.

Dry conditions will continue today and tomorrow, though it will be notably cloudier and cooler, with patchy light rain in the southwest. Temperatures will hover between 12-16C, with the highest in the west.

Saturday will be a cold, mostly dry day, with daytime temperatures reaching 11C. Saturday night will be cold for the time of year, with the thermometer sinking down to zero in places.

The outlook for next week is for cold weather and sunny spells, so summer is still a distant mirage around these shores.
