If you are an eir customer, you may have received a genuine-looking email asking you to enter your bank details for a ‘refund.’
This latest scam has been doing the rounds a few weeks. The email appears to originate from “eBill My Eir”, but in fact comes from a different source.
The email was sent to both customers and non-customers, so if you received it, delete it immediately. If you did go through with the instructions laid out on the email and entered your bank details, contact your financial institution immediately.
