AIB is to hire up to 700 temporary staff to deal with the expected influx of new customers, following the upcoming departure of Ulster Bank and KBC Bank Ireland from the Irish market.

AIB expects many of the customers currently banking with those institutions to switch to AIB.

Ulster Bank and KBC Bank Ireland will exit from the Irish banking scene in the near future.
