A transatlantic flight had to be diverted to Shannon Airport earlier this afternoon after it was reported a passenger fell ill whilst traveling on board.
Reports say the crew on board the Air France flight AF-344 which was travelling from Paris to Montreal alerted air traffic controller’s at Shannon Airport after flying over the Irish east coast.
It us understood the flight landed at approximately 3.10pm, were emergency services were standing by.
It is believed the passenger was transferred to University Hospital Limerick for treatment.
