The missing AirAsia flight QZ8501 is most likely to be at the bottom of the sea says head of Indonesia’s search and rescue agency Banbang Soelistyo.
The airbus carrying 162 passengers from Indonesia to Singapore disappeared from radar on Sunday and, has still not been located. The pilots requested to change course of the flight due to bad weather but did not send a distress call before the officials lost contact.
The search for the airbus is said to be widened on Tuesday, if no further progress is made today.
In a news conference in Jakarta, Bangang Soelistyo told news reporters:
“Based on the co-ordinates given to us and evaluation that the estimated crash position is in the sea, the hypothesis is the plane is at the bottom of the sea”
