A fight broke out in Letterkenny last night in Bar One bookmakers. Gardai made their way to the bookies where allegedly a major fracas was taking place between two men who are said to be throwing chairs and even televisions at each other.
Two gardai attended the scene where one got attacked by a man on the premises. It’s understood that a member of the public attacked another patron of the bookies and a garda trying to intervene.
Both the member of the public and the garda were taken to Letterkenny hospital last night at 9:30pm where their condition was said to be non life threatening.
Both men are still in the hospital this afternoon. The attacker is said to be known to the gardai and they are currently seeking his whereabouts.
