The Kilkenny Cats are aiming to reclaim the trophy that has alluded them for the past couple of years, whereas Tipperary are trying to beat their arch enemies.
The neighbouring counties have had intense rivalries over the years, but this year in particular sees Brian Cody aiming to be recognised as the very best manage and side to ever pick up a hurl.
