Many local community and sports groups hold an annual raffle and offer a variety of prizes that catch the eye, but one soccer club in Co Roscommon have come up with a rather practical and useful prize that has never been seen before.
This unusual raffle which is currently being held by Boyle Celtic, who play in the Sligo/Letrim League, has taken social media by storm in recent days as the amateur soccer team have announced that they will be running a ‘Winter Fuel’ prize draw. The raffle which will keep the fires burning apparently includes a top prize of 500 litres of heating oil along with trailer of turf, 10 bags of coal and a chainsaw.
The club say tickets prices for the draw are €2 each or three for €5. Surely someone will be kept nice and warm this winter.
