Met Eireann have released a further weather warning tonight that Storm Emma is fast approaching the East and South East of the country to combine with the beast from the east for a snow blizzard.
It’s understood that the beast from the east will start to hit the country around tea time tomorrow evening. From there on, it’s expected that up to 15 inches of snow will fall across the county.
Ireland is expected to feel colder than the Arctic later this week as temperatures are to drop by as much as 10c in the coming days.
Met Eireann say the orange status warning applies to counties Dublin, Carlow, Kildare, Laois, Louth, Wicklow and Meath.
It’s believed that some areas will see temperatures drop to -10c over the next 72 hours.
