American woman running for council seat in Michigan town leaves audiences appalled after declaring that her community should be kept ‘white’

Jean Cramer, a first-time candidate for a council seat in the town of Marysville, Michigan, stunned audiences when she openly proclaimed that Marysville ‘should be kept white.’

The shocking incident, first reported by the Times Herald, happened during a council discussion forum on Thursday evening.

The remark was uttered in response to a question put to her by the forum moderator: ‘Do you believe the diversity of our community needs to be looked at?

Cramer’s response, ‘Keep Marysville a white community as much as possible,’ left people aghast.

Somewhat ironically, Cramer herself is not from Marysville. She only moved there in the past decade, while the four other candidates running for the seat were born in the town.
