In a more or less foregone conclusion, Leonardo DiCaprio was finally awarded an Oscar for his performance in the outstanding The Revenant.
This was DiCaprio’s fourth Oscar nomination; he was nominated as Best Supporting Actor for his performance as Arnie in 1993’s What’s eating Gilbert Grape. He was then nominated as Best Actor for the 2005 film The Aviator and 2007’s Blood Diamonds. In 2014, he was nominated for Best Picture for his role as producer for The Wolf of Wall Street.
And at the Oscars ceremony in Los Angeles last night, DiCaprio finally bagged the much-coveted statuette. He used his speech to address climate change.
