As the Irish political establishment feeds coal into the gravy train, prepping it for departure for another five-year long spin, 10 seats remain up for grabs in the 32nd Dáil.
So far, the layout of the new Dáil is as follows: Fine Gael have 47 seats, with 43 for Fianna Fáil and 22 for Sinn Féin. Labour has clinched six seats, the Anti Austerity Alliance – People Before Profit group have five, and the Independent Alliance have four seats.
Sixteen Independent deputies have been elected in total, the Social Democrats have three seats, and the Green Party have two.
The competition for the last few seats is set to be epic, as all contenders dance hard and scramble even harder for the last chair when the music stops.
