Due to a recent Covid-19 wave in Japan, the organisers have been facing many challenges for social distancing to zero spectator stadiums.

It’s a perfect storm for the Japanese government who were hoping the games would lift the country out of a potential double dip recession and provide a much needed boost to their economy.

And now theres another threat that the organisers have to contend with. Sex between the games participants as there is a prohibition on physical contact due to Covid-19.

The organisers showed off their sustainable cardboard bed bases that will be waiting for all the athletes in the Olympic Village. However, as they cannot stand “sudden movements” and can only bear the weight of a single person they have been dubbed the “anti sex” bed.

Despite the physical contact ban, Japanese condom manufacturers will supply competitors with a total of 160,000 condoms. This measure is not something new since it has been carried out since the 1988 Seoul Olympics reports, Entrepreneur.com
