A Co Meath animal rescue shelter have issued an appeal for information after a young pup was cruely found dumped in Navan over the weekend.
The appeal from Coolronan Dog Rescue Centre comes after the little pup was found inside a plastic bag on Main Street, on Saturday morning.
According to a post on their Facebook page the little pup was found by a member of the public inside a plastic bag at approximately 10am on Saturday morning.
The pup who is now under the care of staff at the centre was found to have a leg injury and is being treated for worms.
Staff say the dog is too young to be away from its mother and was fairly malnourished.
They are appealing for anyone who may witnessed any suspicious activity in the area to come forward and contact them.
