Apple staff allowed back into work after security alert is lifted

garda3
Almost 4,000 Apple staff in Cork are now back at their place of work after Gardai lifted the security alert at around 11:30am.

Three Apple facilities in the Cork area (Holyhill, Lavitt’s Quay, and Model Farm) were evacuated earlier this morning after specific bomb threats were posted on the Garda website.

It is understood the event is now over, and that the Army Bomb Disposal unit was not required to intervene.
