From tomorrow night, pubs, restaurants and the rest of the hospitality sector will have to close their doors from 8pm because of NPHET’s demands.
One social media claims:
“The government hadn’t got the backbone to stand up for the hospitality sector and yet again gave in to their demands.”
Sector representatives say that the new close time of 8pm is effectively a lockdown by itself and that they don’t believe the restrictions will be removed at the end of January.
NPHET has again recommended restrictions be enforced right across the country with their demands seeing pubs, restaurants and other hospitality businesses being closed at 5pm onwards from Monday.
It’s not yet known if the government will capitulate again, but it’s more than likely December 20th will see the draconian restrictions introduced yet again.
Hospitality representatives say that it’ll decimate the sector.
