Argos has announced the imminent closure of all its outlets across Ireland by June.
The popular retailer currently operates 34 outlets, and employs around 580 staff.
Argos will cease trading in Ireland for good on June 24.
The news is said to have come completely out of the blue for staff who say that had no idea the closure was happening.
