AstraZeneca: February – not for older people, March – Student Nurses must take it, April – Only for over 60s

In what can only be described as truly shocking, the Irish government are yet again chasing their tail in relation to the vaccine rollout and just how safe the vaccines actually are.

In February, the AstraZeneca vaccine was advised not to be used for older people.

In March, student nurses were told that they should take the AstraZeneca vaccine amongst other vaccines for fear of lack of career progression or placement.

Along with that, yesterday, the AstraZeneca vaccine was recommended for people only older than the age of 60.

So with severe lack of public confidence, it really remains to be seen just how the vaccine rollout will fare out and whether people will want to take any vaccine as a result.
