Cathy Kelly, an Irish author confirmed that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Sharing the news on X, formerly Twitter, Kelly wrote: “Hello, this is a very different post to my usual posts but I wanted to let you all know that I’ve been diagnosed with breast cancer. I’ve started treatment and am currently undergoing chemotherapy,” reports Breaking News.
The 57-year-old added in a follow-up tweet: “Thanks to love and support and a brilliant medical team, I’m doing well and you’ll be hearing more from me soon,” reports Breaking News.
Referring to her pet cat and dog, she added: “Having lots of cuddles with my gorgeous Scamp and Juno. Also coming soon: chemo hats – the patterns,” reports Breaking News.
Kelly’s novels, Woman To Woman, Always And Forever, and Homecoming, have brought her international success.
