The Irishman shot dead in a well-known Spanish holiday resort last night may have been a case of mistaken identity, authorities fear.
Local police are thought to be looking for up to three suspects involved in the incident. An all-island alert has been issued, in an attempt to prevent the hit team from leaving.
The victim was shot four times, and was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
Gardai here believe the shooting may be part of the ongoing feud between the Hutch and Kinahan criminal gangs.
