Awful Bank Holiday weather forecast

weather

Just when you thought summer was finally here, Met Eireann have forecast a spell of wet and windy weather for the long weekend.

The remainder of this week will be cloudy with light, patchy rain, and temperatures hovering around the midteens.

Saturday is expected to start off dry, but cloud cover will increase towards evening before a band of rain spreads eastwards during the night.

Sunday will begin dry and bright, but still rather cool for this time of year, and further outbreaks of rain are expected on the latter part of the day.

Bank Holiday Monday will become windy and wet, with the possibility of heavy rain in most places. Temperatures are expected to increase next week, but the rain will linger.
