Remember that heartbreaking story we reported on recently where a 20 month-old baby starved to death alone whilst suffering from flu for 6 days as her mother went partying for six days?
According to the Metro, it has transpired during the court case that baby Asiah had been left alone a total of 11 times.
Asiah’s mother, Verphy Kudi, now 19 has pleaded guilty to manslaughter and will be sentenced in May.
It has also been revealed that Kudi and her baby were living in a YMCA charity run centre commissioned by Brighton and Hove city council for vulnerable families. Staff at the centre were “aware of a safeguarding incident”. The charity said the matter ‘was referred to the relevant authorities at the time’ but declined to give more details.
