Baby boy dies after man threw him off a Manchester bridge and went to the pub afterwards

A baby boy has died after he was flung into a river from a bridge in Manchester on Wednesday afternoon.

The despicable incident saw the child submerged in water until rescuers were able to retrieve him.

It’s understood that the incident happened at the River Irwell in Manchester on Wednesday afternoon.

Police arrested a man who went for a pint in Lock Keeper pub shortly afterwards. He’s been held on suspicion of attempted murder.

Police in the UK have confirmed that they have arrested a man on suspicion of murder after a baby boy was pulled from a river in Greater Manchester.

According to reports in the UK, the baby boy thought to be 1-year-old sadly passed away in hospital after he was pulled from the River Irwell, in Radcliffe on Wednesday.

Officers investigating the infant’s death say a 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the boy’s death and is currently being questioned by police.

They added that the case is being treated as a domestic incident.
