Scientists discover water vapour in the atmosphere of distant Earth-like planet which could theoretically support human life

Scientists surveying planet K2-18b have discovered water vapour in its atmosphere.

The planet, which is about eight times larger than Earth, was already known to have temperatures suited to humans. This new development means that K2-18b could one day support human life.

It won’t happen for quite some time yet though, as K2-18b is floating 110 light-years from Earth.
