
The body of a baby has been found washed up on a beach on the Greek island of Kos. The badly decomposed body is believed to be that of a boy six months and one-year-old.
The Greek Coast Guard made the discovery earlier today near a seaside hotel. The baby was dressed in green trousers and a white t-shirt. The coast guard have not disclosed the baby’s nationality.
Kos is a crossing point into Europe for thousands of refugees who are fleeing Syria.
If follows international outcry last month after the death of three-year-old Aylan Kurdi shocked the world. Aylan was a Syrian toddler whose body was photographed washed up on a beach in the Turkish resort of Bodrum, 4km from Kos.
