There was bad news for Energia customers across Ireland today as the comapny confirmed that they will increase electricity prices by 3.9% from December onwards.
The latest increase by the company will come as a blow to customers who have been with the energy provider for years especially was they are known to be one of the cheaper providers around.
Under the new charges customers will an 17.3% increase for a stanard unit of electricity, the price hike will also see the average customer spend in the regionof €2 extra per month on top of their standard bill.
In a brief statement regarding the price increase Energia say the rise in wholesale gas prices and increased network costs is the reason why price increases have been enforced on their customers.
