Former US presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton have all agreed to be vaccinated against coronavirus on television to dispel public skepticism about the safety of the new vaccines.
“I may end up taking it on TV or having it filmed, just so that people know that I trust this science,” the Democratic Obama said in an interview with Sirius XM radio that aired on Wednesday, reports Reuters.
Bush, a Republican and Obama’s predecessor, is set to have a vaccine in front of the camera as soon as the US Food and Drug Administration grants an emergency clearance, according to Freddy Ford, Bush’s chief of staff.
Clinton, a Democrat, “will definitely take a vaccine as soon as it becomes available based on priorities set by public health officials.”
