The bitter row over pay and conditions involving Luas drivers and the management company, Transdev, has escalated to a whole new level after the latter issued protective notice to drivers.
Transdev has confirmed that the pay rises sought by staff are beyond what the company can afford, and that further negotiations would likely be fruitless. Furthermore, it says that any drivers engaged in industrial action will see their pay reduced.
It is understood that Siptu are now considering balloting its members for an all-out strike
