We may soon be locked down for a different reason very soon. With the sudden warming of the stratosphere, snow could arrive in Ireland next week similar to that of a Beast from the East part 2 style.
Predictions for the forecast have indicated that by January 19, significantly colder weather could occur and that the east coast, including Dublin, could suffer the most.
Kenneth Mc Donegh of the Donegal Weather Channel said it was too early to predict exactly when and how much snow will fall at any given time but that there could be a significant snowfall.
The sudden warming event in the stratosphere that occurred just before Christmas usually takes a while to show its effects and was the same sudden event that caused the horrendous beast from the east in 2018.
