If you’re going to a parade today, you’ll need to wrap up well – it’s going to be very cold out there.
Met Eireann has issued a yellow weather warning for freezing temperatures and possible snowfall for all of Leinster and the counties or Monaghan and Cavan, that will stay in effect until midnight Saturday.
The cold front coming down from Scandinavia has been dubbed the “son of the beast” in reference to the Siberian cold front dubbed “beast from the east” that brought historic snowfall to the country in early March.
However, this cold front will not be as sever or last as long as the artic blast the country endured just two weeks ago.
