President Joe Biden’s administration cleared the possible sale of $735 million worth of precision-guided weapons to Israel, and sources in Congress said that US lawmakers will not oppose the deal despite violence between Israel and Palestinian activists and claims that Israel will use the new weapons to attack Palestine even more.
Three congressional assistants said Congress had been officially notified of the commercial sale as part of the regular review process before foreign arms sales deals could move forward.
