Investigation launched after more than 10 car windscreens are smashed outside Belfast hospital

Following last night’s smashing of around a dozen parked car windscreens outside a nearby hospital, Belfast police have opened an inquiry, reports The Mirror.

On Friday night, damage to up to eleven automobiles on Belfast City Hospital property was reported to police officers from the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI).

It is thought that the incident happened on the Lisburn Road between 8 and 10 o’clock at night. The authorities have now called on witnesses or anybody with information related to the event to get in touch with them, reports The Mirror.

Today, Saturday, July 6, CCTV video is being analysed in an effort to identify the culprit and determine a possible motivation.

“A report was received shortly after 10pm that the windscreens of up to 11 vehicles parked in the area had been broken,” PSNI Inspector McCrum said in a statement, reports The Mirror.
