Gardai have confirmed that a body has been discovered near Howth Pier in Dublin.
It is understood that the gender or identity of the body has not been released at this time.Meanwhile gardaí have confirmed that the search for missing Clontarf woman Catherine O’Reilly has been called off.
The coast guard and local gardai were involved in the search for the 38-year-old, who has been missing since Thursday.
Ms O’Reilly’s car had been found on Saturday afternoon near the pier. Gardaí have issue a statement thanking the public for their assistance in this matter.
