Boeing will soon start paying compensation to families of those who perished in the recent 737 MAX crashes

Embattled aircraft manufacturer Boeing will soon begin paying compensation to the families of the victims who died in the 737 MAX crashes.

Boeing has set aside $50m to fund the compensation dues, which works out at an average of $144,500 per family.

A total of 346 people died when two Boeing 737 MAX crashed within months of each other in recent times.

The Boeing 737 MAX fleet remains grounded, and it’s unclear when or if the jet will ever receive clearance to fly again.
