Four Romanian nationals are handed down lengthy prison sentences after a ‘sustained campaign of sexual assaults’ on vulnerable girls

Four Romanian nationals living in the UK have been handed down substantial prison sentences after a string of sexually-motivated crimes perpetrated in the Greater Manchester area.

The men, named as Sebastian Baltatu, 18, Ilie Daniel Baltatu, 22, and cousins Parizian Calin, 20, and Adrian Calin, 20 were jailed for over 25 years after being found guilty of grooming girls as young as 12.

Police have said that the gang includes more members, but some were able to flee the UK in time.

Authorities believe that the gang may have subjected a large number of females to ongoing sexual abuse.

The investigation continues.
