According to various reports there has been up to 14 vehicles involved in a multi-vehicle collision in Co Cork this afternoon.
It is understood the large accident happened at approximately 3pm on the Midleton to Cork City road, 600m city side of the Cobh interchange. Gardai say Emergency services are at the scene and there are no serious injuries to report at this stage.
They also say the road is currently closed and diversions are in place, and are asking motorists to use alternative routes.
