A man in his late teens died in a car crash in County Tipperary. The incident happened around 3.45am on the L4101 at Lanespark, Ballynonty, near Thurles. The teenage driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to Waterford University Hospital, where a post-mortem will be carried out; the coroner has been informed.
The road is closed while Garda forensic investigators examine the site, and local diversions are in place.
