The leader of the Aontu party, Peadar Toibin has been re-elected to the Dail after facing stiff competition in Fianna Fail and Sinn Fein in the Meath West constituency.
Toibin’s party has had a very good showing for their first time running in the general election, with Becky Kealy polling very well in Cork.
Counts are beginning to close for the night with the resumption tomorrow morning.
