44-yr-old Deirdre Morley has been found not guilty of murdering her three children at their home in Dublin on January 24th 2020 by reason of insanity.
She was initially charged with the murder of her three children. She was arrested and charged and cautioned with the murder 9-yr-old Conor, 7-yr-old Darragh and 3-yr-old Carla McGinley on the Friday night following their deaths.
It’s understood that she made no reply to the charges when they were first put to her. She was automatically remanded due to the nature of the charges.
The court asked for psychiatric testing to be carried out and this evening, she has been found not guilty of murdering her three young children.
At the time of their death, her husband Andrew Morley paid tribute to his three beautiful children.
