An enormous fire broke out shortly after 6pm this evening in Drogheda, Co. Louth.
The fire has engulfed a huge building at Donaghy’s Mill in the Mell area of town. Emergency services found it quite difficult to get down to the scene of the fire as traffic was very heavy on Friday afternoon coming down from all sides of the town.
The enormous Donaghy’s Mill building has been completely engulfed with flames and is burning to the ground.
Traffic is backed up on every road going into the town with garda diversions in place. People are asked to avoid the area where possible.
The reason for the fire is still not yet known at this time.
