BREAKING: Garda manhunt underway after driver flees scene of fatal three-car Co Limerick crash

A woman in her 30s has died after a three-vehicle collision in Co Limerick, reports RTE.

The crash occurred on the N24 at Grange West, Boher at approximately 11.10pm last night, reports RTE.

The woman, who was travelling alone in one of the vehicles, was declared dead at the scene.

Gardaí said the driver of another car involved left the scene and efforts are under way to establish their identity, reports RTE.

The third motorist, a man in his 40s, was taken to University Hospital Limerick with injuries not thought to be life-threatening.

The deceased woman’s body was also transferred to University Hospital Limerick, where a post-mortem examination is due to be carried out, reports RTE.

Gardaí said the N24 between the R505 and L1132 remains shut to traffic while a technical inspection is conducted.

They added that traffic diversions have been arranged locally, reports RTE.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the crash to make contact.

They are particularly urging road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam recordings, and who were travelling on the road between 10.45pm and 11.30pm to get in touch, reports RTE.
