The Government have issued a statement this evening calling on all pubs, nightclubs and hotel bars to close until March 29th.
In a statement the Government issued the call following a meeting with the Irish Vintners Association and Irish Vintners Federation.
The government are also urging the public not to engage in house parties or any other organised social gatherings.
