Authorities are conducting a search in County Louth as part of their investigation into the disappearance and murder of schoolboy Kyran Durnin. Gardaà are currently performing a detailed technical and forensic examination at a residence in Drogheda. According to their statement, the goal of this search is to uncover any evidence that could shed light on Kyran’s current location or reveal what has happened to him.
The Gardaà have also acknowledged the widespread public discussion surrounding the case, noting that much of the speculation, rumors, and theories circulating are inaccurate and misleading. They emphasized that such uninformed commentary not only hampers their investigation but also deepens the distress felt by the families of victims.
Kyran was last definitively seen in May 2022. A missing person’s report was lodged at Drogheda Garda Station in August of the following year, with information provided at the time indicating he had been spotted in the town just two days earlier.
