It’s official: Independent Peter Fitzpatrick has been re-elected in the Louth Constituency.
He joins Imelda Munster (SF), Ruairi O’Murchu (SF), Ged Nash (Labour) and Fergus O’Dowd (FG). Fianna Fail’s Declan Breathnach has lost his seat.
It’s a great result for Fitzpatrick, who had the courage of his convictions to leave the Fine Gael Party since the last election and has now proven that his decision was the right one for him and his supporters.
