### Gardaí Investigate Death of Man in Donegal After Overnight Assault
Gardai are conducting an investigation following the death of a man in his 60s in County Donegal early this morning.
Emergency services responded to reports of an assault at a residence near the town of Ard an Rátha at approximately 3:50 a.m. The man was declared dead at the scene.
A man in his 30s was subsequently arrested at another location and is currently being held for questioning at a Garda station in County Donegal.
The scene remains secured for a forensic examination by the Garda Technical Bureau, and the State Pathologist’s office has been informed.
A Senior Investigating Officer has been appointed to oversee the case, with an incident room set up at Ballyshannon Garda Station. A Family Liaison Officer has also been assigned to assist the deceased’s family.
