A man has been detained after being charged with the murder of his mother, Mary Green, also known as Marie, aged 71. She was found dead at her home on Shore Road, north Belfast, early Tuesday morning.
PSNI officers and paramedics discovered her body after responding to an incident report.
According to RTE, the accused, Lewis Green, appeared in Belfast Magistrates’ Court today and was remanded in custody, with a scheduled video-link court appearance next month.
