Gardai have arrested a man in connection with the murder of schoolteacher Ashling Murphy.
According to RTE, the 31-year-old man, Jozef Puska is a Slovakian national. He was brought before a special sitting of Tullamore District Court and was remanded in custody for a week.
When the man was charged with the murder of Ms. Murphy, Mr. Puska replied “no”. He will now appear before Clover Hill District Court on January 26th and a file will be prepared for the DPP.
The second man who was arrested in connection with the killing has been released.
